How to remove blood stains from clothing

Blood can be one of the hardest stains to remove, but if dealt with quickly, you can get your clothes back to looking new again

Removing blood stains from whites & colors

1.) Rinse

Quickly rinse out stain with cold water. The faster that you can get to blood stains, the easier they are to remove.

2.) Pre-Soak

Pre-soak in cold water with laundry detergent for at least 30 minutes, then rinse. For whites, we also find that adding bleach to your cold water/detergent solution very effective.

3.) Repeat

Repeat until stain disappears. Using quality bleach, such as Clorox Performance Bleach, increases effectiveness versus a cheaper, bargain brand. We also really like Clorox's Splash-less Bleach - because nobody likes to ruin their clothes doing laundry!

4.) Wash

Wash in cold water with your favorite detergent (liquid detergent is more effective in cold water...but that's a whole different blog post)
